I am ROBERT FINLAY CAMPION of Scottish and French descent. Born In Auckland New Zealand. I completed my Art qualifications at The Whitecliffe College of Art and Design in the late 1980′s, specializing in FIGURATIVE works which includes a passion for recreating the style and techniques of the Dutch Master JOHANNES VERMEER which entails warm sunlit interiors. Since then I have been self-employed as an artist and teacher specializing in commissions in OILS from portraits to landscape.
My style is realism. My fundamental belief is to achieve the correct lighting in which a certain mood is conveyed and without it the painting cannot succeed.
